Train the Trainer

Aim:

This practical and challenging learning programme aims to develop and support trainers and
educators in health care with knowledge and skills for delivering advanced communication and other interpersonal skills training using evidence-based experiential teaching methods.

Pre-requisites:

Applicants for the advanced course will have provided evidence of:

• Experience of delivering communication skills training or a related subject
• Experience of teaching/ training in a health or social care setting
• A significant part of current or intended future role includes teaching/ training. (At least 40%)
• Attendance on an ACST workshop in the last 5 years
• Commitment to 100% attendance on 3- day workshop and completion of 80% course
  activities
